DREW WILLIAMS | FOUNDER / EDITOR IN CHEIF
Drew Williams is a composer, saxophonist, and clarinetist from Kansas City, Missouri currently living in Brooklyn, NY.
In 2011, Drew began expanding the scope of his compositions to include nine musicians. Taken by the power and range of the sound that all of these musicians could make together, this band quickly became the focus of his musical output. The Drew Williams Nonet plays creative, original music that channels the spontaneity of jazz and the progressive abandon of modern concert music into the traditions of American rock and folk music.
Drew received a Bachelor’s Degree from Truman State University, where he studied with Dr. Randall Smith and Tim AuBuchon, and a Master’s Degree from New York University where he studied with Ralph Alessi, Alan Ferber, Rich Perry and Justin Dello Joio.
